I have called and requested all parts used be saved and returned to me for building a stronger case of failure points. Photos and details will be documented and shared.

Needed parts were not available local waited 5 days so far.

Original review Dec 28, 2024
Steering rake failed along with control module on our 2017 Pacifica Limited at 83,000 mile about 5 months outside of the extended factory warranty. The original estimate was over $7,000 and no help from Chrysler Care.

Talking with local dealer they adjusted the price down to $5,000. l am thankful for the adjustment but don't believe repairs for problematic design issues with the steering rake should be a moneymaker for Chrysler. We have owned 5 Chrysler Mini vans most going over 200,000 miles and never had a steering rake fail. This Van has been pampered with all suggested services will before they were called for.

My point is this was not a maintenance issue this was an expensive mission-critical component of the van that had a catastrophic failure well within the 100,000 mile warranty but 6 months outside the calendar based warranty. This is a common failure for Pacifica's 2017-****. Design changes appear to have resolved the issues for owners purchasing newer Pacifica's.

Congratulations to Chrysler for correcting the design issue but want about the customers that purchased before the design issue was public. This is not right.

Bad warranty

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
Chrysler - Bad warranty

It has a lifter tick. It is a 5.7; it is a common failure, and they keep screwing around, making sure that the vehicle is worth this kind of money.

It's like a brand new vehicle. It doesn't matter how many miles are on it; it is a brand new vehicle. It's a 2019 Dodge Durango RT with 199,000 miles on it—little bit more or a little bit less. They keep making sure that the customer is out of a vehicle for over a month.

It will be over a month before I get it back. It takes five days to get an engine to put in the vehicle. I swear I will never buy another Mopar warranty. I will go to US warranty before I buy another Mopar warranty.

They are crooked as the day is long. I should call my lawyer and have him handle it; he would love the case.

Retiree Frustration

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

Between dealership customer service and Chrysler customer service, Im embarrassed to be a Chrysler retiree. Dealer blew my husband off 4Xs re Ram truck.

Customer service kept transferring husband to different depts. or call was disconnected. When he did speak to agent he requested to speak to a supv.who was never available or never received requested supv. callback.

I reasearched part online and called a dealer in Ohio for part info. Employee was very friendly and informative. He explained why part was special order even for dealer. Also, their frustration with OEM/Mopar and inability to receive part for service repair.

I called my local dealership parts dept. and finally received updated information. Employee was also very friendly and informative. Too bad dealer service dept.

did not call and update my husband re part. Part was ordered and expected at the end of the week. Dealer has only had truck for over 1 month.

I was able to find out part info in less than 20 minutes. Where and who hires and trains these employees???

I can understand why

Stellantis/Fiat/Daimler/Chrysler service ratings are so low. After this Ram part fiasco,

I now truly understand customer frustration.

If not a Chrysler retiree, I would be looking to

purchase my next vehicle from a competitor.

I have a Dodge ram truck in the shop at TJ Tuscaloosa Dodge ram shop and I've been trying to get in touch with them since Friday ...the right front suspension came off last week ...there supposed to fix it ...they have lied to me 2 twice and this vehicle was sold to me under about 3 false pretenses ...Im not to discuss the pretenses that it was sold under but someone needs to contact me if not this paperwork will be with my lawyer after lunch today... They charge me 4000 for flex care ...I was told they talk to flex care and it they were going to cover half ...I talked to flex care about this vehicle and flex care said they haven't had any claim under that vin or account hasn't spoke with dodge on this vehicle..

just a bunch of liars ...trying to con every one the can but they finally got the right on cause I spent 30 yrs in the car business know how things work ...my wife both this vehicle and they took full advantage in the first place cause they knew she didn't know any better...

But I have a son that's a attorney will love to get this case ...because the car fax they gave me at the dealership was false ... .they told me it had been wreck 1 with minor damages that's not true either...I have paperwork to back it up ...I have report from Dodge dealership they gave me but it's says 1 accident the real Carfax says 3...so I have very good lawsuit if something doesn't happen today ...my lawyer will have this paperwork

Termination of lease

I issued a lengthy complaint. My vehicle was unsafe driving.

Ive since learned it has transmission issues. Im not mentally prepared to drive this vehicle again as I dont feel safe. There were times I was driving and it slowed all the way down. I have to pull over, turn off the car and start it up again.

Im hereby requesting immediate termination of my lease. As for the dealership, I couldnt get a loaner until Sept. 9. Finally after 2 days of total inconvenience I was told I could rent a vehicle at no more than $50 a day.

All Enterprise was able to give me at that cost was a Toyota Camry which is extremely low to the ground for me (78 yrs old). Chrysler should be responsible to rent or loan me a vehicle of the same caliber as what I am currently paying $496 per month.

Lastly, My family and I have been loyal customers of Chrysler due to employment over the last 40 years. I never thought I would be treated with such disrespect.

Preferred solution: Terminate my lease.

User's recommendation: I would not recommend Suburban Chrysler in Farmimgton Hills, Mi to anyone.

You have to take the car in for warranty repair. If you want to terminate the lease it will cost you. Any coverage for loaners or rentals would be spelled out in your warranty you agreed to at purchase.

Blown Head Gasket-19’ Durango 66k miles

July 2nd, 2025- We got our car back from National City Dealership. July 6, 2025- Check Engine Light is back on!

I’ll have to take the car back to Dealership.

Very Frustrating! Nothing But Problems with this car.

Updated by user Jul 02, 2025

Nope, Nothing, Nada! Company Chrysler USA never called back.

Dealership was no help. We didn’t qualify for any assistance. As of today July 2, 2025. car is this at Dealership.

Motor manufacture issues. Bad engineering.

Original review updated Jun 24, 2025
I have 19 Dodge Durango with 66k miles.
NEVER had any problems with Dodge vehicles before.
We had 06 Durango- 15yrs.
07 Ram 1500-7yrs.
14 Ram 2500 - 11yrs.
BUT! This car with low miles, just after the warranty of 6,000 mile over.

Engine PROBLEMS. Any Chrysler vehicle with 3.6 liter with engine block problems with low miles, you are not alone. Report! This has to be a manufacture issue, they have neglected to address the issues.

This motor 3.6 liter motors have problems. They will not recall all the 3.6 liter engine they have put this issue on customers. Customers having to replace the motor and paying out the cost.
Chrysler USA does nothing to help with any issues. The advice agent only gives you case # and stats youll receive a call back within 1 business day from management manager (Lie).

They never call you back. I was given 3 case numbers. All for the same vehicle.
Chrysler USA doesnt care of loyalty care for the production, they put out in the vehicles we purchase. BAD Manufactured issues on this motor 3.6 liter.

There was 3 other vehicles with engine problems on same motor 3.6 liter.
Now we have been stuck with paying for a bill on a car, we are still paying for with low miles. With no accountability, for their neglect of addressing problems with these motors.

My car has been at Dealer since May 7th, 2025- to as today, this Pissed OFF Customer.
We didn't qualify for assistance on helping with motor replacement. Car is sitting at Dealership.

Warranties have a expiration date for a reason, It does not matter id it is 60001 or 90K you have to pay for it after 60K.

You are focus on the wrong real issues! The many issues on this isn’t the warranty, it’s the manufacturing issues and how bad engineering are being done on Chrysler products.

Vehicles with low miles, shouldn’t be have these kind of problems. 3 other vehicles with same engine 3.6 liter were in the same dealership. Same problem & same motor 3.6 liter with engine block problems. I am putting this out in the open for other with the same problem be aware of this issue with 3.6 liter engine.

Chrysler USA needs to look more into this engine 3.6 liter for Recall. *** there was a big recall for 2021-**** engine 6.2 V8 *** Yes, I am *** of having to deal with issue, low miles and very well maintained.

Dodge is a good American made vehicle. It’s their lack of engineering and reliability to customers to give a long lasting vehicle.

Dodge Durango - Poor Quality

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

I purchased my brand new 2024 Dodge Durango in late July 2024 from Spitzer Dodge in Mansfield. I saw the vehicle online and called them as soon as they opened to let them know I wanted the vehicle and gave them the details for my bank approval.

Within an hour they called back telling me someone else was interested in the vehicle and if I wanted it I would have to get it that day and not the next day like originally planned. This should have been a red flag but I went over right away anyway. When I arrived at Spitzer Dodge I met with finance and we began signing papers. At this time I had still not physically seen the vehicle because it was being cleaned up.

As we were almost done signing papers, I was given one that I needed to sign because the vehicle had a window damaged and I would need to bring it back to the dealership to have it replaced (ding one on my CarFax). I finished signing papers and hopped in the car and left.

Fast forward to a couple days later, I had taken my car to the car wash and was hand drying it. I began to notice several issues with the paint on the vehicle. I called Spitzer and told them about the problem.

They had me bring it over for them to look at and then sent me down the road to G&M Body and Paint Shop to look at my vehicle. As soon as the owner walked out he pointed out several more issues with my vehicle and said he has never seen one that was so bad! I went back to Spitzer and they said they would get in contact with the body shop to get an appt set up to fix the issues (ding two on my CarFax).

Time went by and I eventually got my window fixed, I believe they had my car for two days. So I had to take time off work to drive over and drop my car off then to drive back over and pick my car back up.

A couple weeks later I again went to drop my car off at Spitzer so they could take it to the body shop and get the paint fixed. After almost a week I got the call that my car was ready. I showed up to get my car and of course all of the management was gone as well as the service adviser I had been working with. When I looked at my car you could not even notice any difference.

The paint issues were still there. I let the guy working in the service department know that I was NOT happy and that the issues were not fixed.

A few days later I contacted the detail shop I use to ceramic coat and put PPF on my cars. I took my vehicle to him to see if he could do the services or possibly even fix the issues. A couple hours later after I went back to get my vehicle I was in complete disbelief!

He had marked on my car with detail tape and detail marker all of the issues. I had already noticed all of the orange peel and several rough spots. But what he pointed out I could not believe! There are places all over that had some kind of dirt or debris in the paint, the back hatch was not aligned (and the paint has now rubbed off in multiple spots), the doors are not appropriately aligned, and worst of all he said there is no way he could even attempt to fix it because the paint was applied so badly.

On multiple sections the paint thickness had significant variances and in some areas there was barely even any paint coverage. I left all the markings on my car and drove back to G&M Body Shop who was supposed to fix the paint. The owner said he didnt even need to come look at it because he knew how bad it was and had already told Spitzer that they had no business selling me that vehicle because it should have never passed inspection to even leave the factory. When I asked the owner if they would be the ones fixing it after I went and met with Spitzer he said he already told Spitzer he would not touch my vehicle again because the whole car would need to be sanded and repainted.

I then went down to Spitzer Dodge and talked with the service manager and explained the situation. He told me that he knew their body shop would not do the work and that I would need to take it somewhere else to get an estimate! To say I was livid leaving the dealership is an understatement! So I again took a whole day off work and drove to FOUR body shops who all refused to even attempt to fix my vehicle.

I finally found one, Bakers Collision, who was willing to attempt it. I took this quote and all the information to the dealership and have still yet to hear ANYTHING about getting my vehicle fixed.

Fast forward to about 6 weeks ago, I was in a car accident. I had my car towed to Bakers Collision to have the repairs made. My car is still sitting there because it needs a wire harness (Part 6862****AB) and they have been told it is on backorder.

When I called the dealership to see if there was anything they could do to expedite getting the part I was told the part is out of stock until possibly the end of November if not longer!

So not only is Chrysler OK with selling poor quality vehicles to people they also do not have parts available for vehicles to be repaired. Between the time my vehicle has been with Spitzer for repairs and now the time it has been at the body shop my vehicle has been in the shop more than it has been with me, but you bet I still have to pay for it.

What is the most upsetting is all of the negative items on the CarFax that will greatly affect my resale value, I understand the accident is not the fault of Chrysler but all of the other negative items are. The biggest one being the paint, door alignment and back hatch that Chrysler refuses to take care of.

If it’s covered under warranty, what do you care? They aren’t going to pay off the $28K you still owe and take it off your hands. That $18K repair cost isn’t coming out of the dealership’s bottom line.

Customer service complaint

I took my 2015 Grand Cherokee to the Bud Clary dealership in Auburn, WA for what was supposed to be maintenance on it! $3,000.00 later, my car runs hot, which wasn't the problem in the first place!

I took it back to them; now they claim I need $9,000.00 worth of work. My car was running fine before I let them get their hands on it! It runs hot now; they won't correct the problem, which is totally unacceptable.

The service dept seems to be running a scam on me. I just want them to correct the problem they caused.
